what can I buy right now to make my car better performance wise for $200?
thinking minor changes under the bonnet because it handles and stops just fine for now.
motor mounts, intake, etc...

springs? Might be useless if you already like the handling.
Exhaust/muffler delete?

Owning a Speed3 my first thought is SRI/CAI or mounts?......But I'm really not familiar with the Miatas in terms of upgrades. So there's that lol

plan on saving up later for a proper spring/shock or coilover setup. And I leave for school soon so getting exhaust work done might be kinda hard. hmmm

in that case I recommend just saving. That way you can get some proper coilovers and a proper exhaust AND have time to enjoy it not being in school.

I could see that. As of now I dont have any suspension mods and the car drives straight with now uneven tire wear.

Is the car a miata? I have read that even on a STOCK MIATA an alignment with performance in mind is fundamental!

ill have the car at school until winter weather comes. practically be damned. but I see your point. I just got $200 for selling the winter tires the car came on, so I feel like pissing it away.

Sensors/measurement equipment. There is no better way to make your car faster than improving your technique, and what better way to do that than being able to track data/analyze your driving.

definitely those fitted floormats with little squares that hold the mud/water. should be good for 1/10 of a second 0-100.

New fluids all the way around. Good oil. New coolant (not just whats in the radiator, a full flush), trans flush, diff flush, brake fluid flush.

This is a good tip. If you're into autocross or other competitive driving events, you could take a driving lesson, too.

Stickers. They're worth like 5hp a piece.
Other ideas: Waxing it, an air gauge for your tires, new spark plugs, and lighter oil (not actually a good idea if you want your engine to last).
$200 is not that much.

oh, piss it away then!! Honestly if I were given $200 right now I'd tint my car. It's probably a lot cheaper on a miata. Damn I want a miata..

I've never owned a vert and I don't exactly live in a place where I'd be able to enjoy one year round, that's probably why I'm so reluctant.
